I'm in currently in Thailand and planning to go to Vientiane next month, I already got an appointment for Nov 12th. On their website it says that any documents in languages other than Thai or English must be translated and notarized. My bank statement is in French, I can get it translated in Bangkok but the French embassy here won't notarize my bank statement. Anyone been in the same situation?

Anyone who applied in Taiwan, did you translate your bank account statements? Mine arent English. I used google translate to get the pdfs translated in English but the pds has a line on top now saying "machine translated by Google Translate" - could that be an issue. Please only respond if you have firsthand experience in Taiwan, not just assumptions. Thank you.

Curious as to why a district office would need a new translated copy of ones Bio page in the passport? They already have one from six months ago? The passport is the same.. not new.. this is for yellow book... thank you

Does the MFA only legalize documents that are translated into Thai? Or do they also legalize English documents?

I need to translate my marriage certificate from Polish to be used for my Non-O dependent visa (foreign spouse working in Thailand). And I'm wondering if it would be best to get it translated directly into Thai instead of English.

Thank you so much!

An Aussie friend is married to a Thai in Australia, they now want to live in Thailand, he is now here on a 90 day Non o visa for a Thai wife and wants to gain an extension local based on his Thai wife. he understands the ext requirements. but is un-clear what the steps are for him to get married at the Amphur office.

He visited the Amphur office and they told him he had contact the Aussie embassy to have his Aussie marriage translated and certified. does anyone know if this correct? Also he needs to get his passport translated and certified. Normally this can be done by the MFA. Can anyone clarify? what the steps are?

Kind Regards

If my partner (Thai) and I (US citizen) get our marriage license and certificate here in California US would the Thai embassy recognize that?

Since she will now be considered family, will that qualify me for a 90 day non-o visa? And would we need to get the documents translated?

Thank you

Marriage license: I’m a Uk national and I want to marry my Thai girlfriend. The steps as far as I understand:

1) Book an appointment for the marriage

2) book appointment with Uk embassy; get certificate from Uk Bkk embassy that I’m free to marry

3) get translated

4) get married

My question is in the case of a past divorce in Germany, does it need to be translated into english and then also into Thai?

My second question is: is there any way to avoid going to Bkk for the certificate and thus avoid 2 week quarantine?

TIA
