I’m planning to apply for the Thai DTV e-visa as a remote worker (with my wife as a dependent), and I had a few questions for anyone who has already gone through the process.
Did you apply fully online, or did you still need to go in person to the embassy at some stage? Also, how long did it take to receive the visa after applying online?
We are currently in Italy (not Italian citizens), and my employment contract is not in English. I would also like to use my Italian rental contract as the “document indicating current location,” but that document is also not in English. Do these documents need a sworn/legal translation, or is a regular professional translation sufficient?
We will also be traveling with our cat, so if anyone has experience entering Thailand with a pet while on the DTV visa, I would really appreciate hearing how it went and whether immigration or the airport process was complicated.
Helloo. My bank is in Spain and my bank statements are only in Spanish, but I need them in English for my DTV visa application. Can they be officially translated, or is there another way to get them accepted? 🥲
Hello, quick question, I am planning to submit my application for DTV in Hanoi, for remote work.
Regarding the documents required to prove ongoing relationship with clients (contract with client, letter from client saying that you can work from thailand, etc.) do these documents need to be written in English, or can I provide original documents and letters in my native language (since my client is located in France), along with a translation made by myself ?
Hi was hoping someone might know where I can get a copy of my passport witnessed by a professional ie doctor, lawyer, government officer, chemist etc.
The problem I have when they sign the document they have to provide there details in English as it's for a Australian super fund if it's in thai I have to have it translated by a qualified translator to be a accepted by my super fund
I’m applying for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Jakarta. Once that’s approved, my husband and child will apply as my dependents.
I already have our Brazilian marriage certificate and my child’s Brazilian birth certificate. Since Thailand is not part of the Hague Apostille Convention, I was told these documents would normally need extra legalization. This would cost me around 800 USD.
Before I spend that, I’d really like to know: for dependents, have embassies actually required fully legalized documents, or have standard certificates + translations been accepted in practice?
Any experiences in Jakarta (or elsewhere) would be super helpful. Thanks a lot! 🙏
I’m a Danish applicant for the Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). Does anyone know if Danish documents (e.g., CVR business registration, birth certificates, or marriage certificates) need to be apostille-stamped in Denmark to be accepted as valid documentation for the DTV application? Or would it be sufficient to have them translated by an approved Thai translator, like Sawadee Translation? Any insights or experiences from fellow Danes would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
This might be a wacky question, but do I have to get my bank account statement "translated" if my bank is not located in a country where neither Englisch nor Thai are an administrative language?
In other words:
My bank account statement's details (transfer references) are not in English but, in my case, in German. However, it's still obvious which transfers are a minus and which are a plus.
Thanks a lot for your attention! 🙏
EDIT:
On ThaiEVisa it says that all documents must be in English or Thai. Does this include bank statements as well (regarding the subject of listed transfers)?
I would like to ask the people who uploaded the bank statement if this one from my bank can be approbed? It has more than 500k for more than a year and below it says was created today 8-7-2025.
Is from my bank in Spain, but I need to know if this is how it should look like or is there any information missing.. Can be translated from an online PDF platform ???
