DEPENDENT VISAS

I’m applying for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Jakarta. Once that’s approved, my husband and child will apply as my dependents.

I already have our Brazilian marriage certificate and my child’s Brazilian birth certificate. Since Thailand is not part of the Hague Apostille Convention, I was told these documents would normally need extra legalization. This would cost me around 800 USD.

Before I spend that, I’d really like to know: for dependents, have embassies actually required fully legalized documents, or have standard certificates + translations been accepted in practice?

Any experiences in Jakarta (or elsewhere) would be super helpful. Thanks a lot! 🙏

There’s no sigils or stamps only signatures in my employment contract (remote worker) this is a standard by the country of origin of employment.

Does it need to be notarized or translated to evade rejection?

Hi everyone,

I’m a Danish applicant for the Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). Does anyone know if Danish documents (e.g., CVR business registration, birth certificates, or marriage certificates) need to be apostille-stamped in Denmark to be accepted as valid documentation for the DTV application? Or would it be sufficient to have them translated by an approved Thai translator, like Sawadee Translation? Any insights or experiences from fellow Danes would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This might be a wacky question, but do I have to get my bank account statement "translated" if my bank is not located in a country where neither Englisch nor Thai are an administrative language?

In other words:

My bank account statement's details (transfer references) are not in English but, in my case, in German. However, it's still obvious which transfers are a minus and which are a plus.

Thanks a lot for your attention! 🙏

EDIT:

On ThaiEVisa it says that all documents must be in English or Thai. Does this include bank statements as well (regarding the subject of listed transfers)?

documents but I'm not sure what translation do I need for all those

documents.I will receive a "Certificate of no impediment to marriage "

in my language, which is Lithuanian, with an apostille. Below you will

find what documents they asked for from me and there was no further

explanation

Thank you in advance

Hello, I decided to get a driver's license so that they can recognize my European license, but they are making me translate the legend into English. Has anyone had a similar problem and is there an office in Bangkok that I can go to without a translation? I was at Mo Chit's office.

Hey everyone! 🙌

I’ve searched this group thoroughly and checked the official websites, but I couldn’t find clear answers to these specific questions — so I hope it’s okay to ask directly here. I’d *really* appreciate any insights or recent experiences you’re willing to share!

1. Income Requirements for the DTV (Workcation) Visa

I know there’s no *official* minimum income listed for the Workcation category — but from your personal experiences:

* Is there a general income level where people usually get approved?

* Or an income range where people tend to get denied?

I’m trying to figure out if the Workcation route is realistic for me, or if I should look into other visa options.

2. Financial Documents from Brazil

Since my company is based in Brazil, my tax documents are from the Brazilian tax agency.

* Do they need to be apostilled, or is a printout from the official tax site + translation enough?

* Can I translate them myself into English, or does it need to be done by a certified translator (in Brazil or Thailand)?

3. Originals vs. Digital Copies (Work Contracts or Proof of Income)

One of the companies I work with (in Norway) will provide a letter confirming my work and income, but they’ll send it as a PDF by email, not a physical original.

* Are PDF versions accepted, or do Thai immigration/embassies ever ask for the original hard copies?

Thanks so much in advance — I truly appreciate any tips, insights, or real experiences you’re open to sharing! 🙏
