Do documents for the DTV visa need to be in English or certified translations?

Do the documents required for the DTV have to be issued in English, or at least with a certified translation? 🙏🏼
In Italy it is almost impossible to get documents in English from public offices (tax certificate, marriage certificate for my wife) and a sworn translation would be exorbitantly expensive (I would be better off getting the Elite visa at this point 😅)… while with private institutions (bank for the banking status etc) I would have no problems.
Do you think that if some of the documents were in Italian and I provided a translation of those pages (easily verifiable, they are all personal data) it could work? 🤞

I think if you apply online for the e-visa and it goes through the embassy in your country of residence then this language plus English and Thai are accepted. If you must do it in another country, a notarized translation is what they want and that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I did it with rapidtranslate.com 1 page is 25 USD and another 19 for notarizing everything of that order.

I got mine from Thai embassy in Switzerland. All documents in German language, no translation. Arrived in 1 day. I just delivered what was on their list.

You don‘t have to get the translation done in Italy. Check some translation agencies in Thailand, i got documents translated from German in Bangkok. Wasn‘t super cheap, but nowhere near elite visa territory 😅

se mandi una mail rispondono, a me l'hanno fatto dopo avermi annullato una richiesta. Stai molto attento che al minimo errore o dimenticanza ti possono annullare la richiesta di visa e perdi i soldi, non chiedono correzioni e non possono farle...devi leggere bene tutto e mandare tutto quel che ti chiedonoSamuel *********

ci ho appena parlato al telefono, dato che sono rientrato in Italia, e me l’hanno confermato… La cosa assurda è che vogliono almeno un contratto di collaborazione, ma essendo un insegnante freelancer, non ho contratti con aziende, solamente le fatture emesse ai miei studenti.Martino *******

No. They don't even accept Lao documents in Laos, only English and Thai.Thai staff at embassies abroad can usually understand only Thai and English, not the language of the country they're located in as they move around a lot, as diplomatic staff do.
While some staff may be able to understand whatever the local language is, or they may hire locals from that country for certain positions, generally the policy is to only accept documents in Thai and English.

That's most unusual that they don't require English translations there.However, you wouldn't have met any staff since the consulates in Germany use the evisa system.

For my DTV from the Thai embassy in Madrid, Spain, I sent all the documents in Spanish and the bank balance certification in Catalan. They accepted my documents and I have my visa.

yes, but just saying it is reviewed by the embassy staff in Madrid, so they are more likely to know Spanish and/or Catalan versus if you applied online via the embassy in Hong KongJosep *********

Docs need to be in English or Thai if not then translated copies submitted. You should contact the embassy you will apply from regarding if official translation required. I have read some applicants translated docs but each embassy differs in their approval

Taipei told me no need to have translations legalized or notarized. Or at least, this is what they implied. They didn't say it directly, but if they required it to be notarized or legalized, they would have made it clear that's a requirement.Andi ***********
