DTV & DOCUMENT TRANSLATION 🇮🇹🇬🇧
Hi everyone! 😊
Do the documents required for the DTV have to be issued in English, or at least with a certified translation? 🙏🏼
In Italy it is almost impossible to get documents in English from public offices (tax certificate, marriage certificate for my wife) and a sworn translation would be exorbitantly expensive (I would be better off getting the Elite visa at this point 😅)… while with private institutions (bank for the banking status etc) I would have no problems.
Do you think that if some of the documents were in Italian and I provided a translation of those pages (easily verifiable, they are all personal data) it could work? 🤞
TLDR : Answer Summary
For obtaining a Thai Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), it is generally required that documents be submitted in English or Thai. However, experiences vary by embassy. Some applicants reported successful submissions of documents in their native languages (like Italian and Spanish) without translations. It's advisable to consult the specific Thai embassy where you will apply, as requirements can differ. Using a local translation agency in Thailand may also be a feasible option for English translations at a reasonable cost.
