TLDR : Answer Summary
To maintain a retirement visa in Thailand, specifically for those over 50, the minimum income requirement is 65,000 Baht per month. You must provide an affidavit of income from abroad, notarized by your consulate, as it is the only accepted method to meet this income criterion for a yearly extension of stay.

Remember for the income method to get a yearly extension of stay based on being over 50 you MUST use the affidavit of income from abroad notary letter from your consulate. There is NO other way to meet the requirement..

For a yearly extention of stay based on being over 50 and using the income only method its a minimum of 65,000bt per month
James Miller he asked the minimum income per month. It's 65k baht per month. The minimum 'income' doesn't have to add up to 800k baht if your income is 65k Baht per month.
Yep, great counting. It is 800.000 Thb on your bank account OR 65.000 Thb monthly income, certified by your Embassy OR a combination of both with a total of minimum 800.000 Thb.

65,000 Thai baht x 12 is only 780,000 Thai baht annually.

800,000 Thai baht annually. Be sure to check what exchange rate your Immigration office is using.
