Could someone clarify please.

I’m reading different things that don’t make sense.

Marriage visa.

45k baht per month = 540k per year. Not 400k .

Retirement visa.

65k baht per month = 780k per year. Not 800k.

Or has something changed.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion clarifies the income requirements for obtaining marriage and retirement visas in Thailand. A user states that the requirement for a marriage visa is 45,000 baht per month, totaling 540,000 baht per year, and for a retirement visa, 65,000 baht per month, which totals 780,000 baht per year. However, another comment points out that these figures are incorrect, stating that the marriage visa requirement is actually 40,000 baht per month, and the retirement visa remains at 65,000 baht per month, indicating that these numbers have not changed.

Some part is wrong.

For monthly income method, it has to be

Marriage: 40K thb/m

Retirement: 65K thb/m

Those haven't changed for a good while. Check the immigration office site.

oops … sorry. So the

Marriage: 400k per year is now 480k per year.

Retirement: 800k per year is now 780k per year.

That’s the anomaly part I’m trying to clarify.

It matters at some IO offices … mine is the pedantic but never accurate Samut Prakan.

, the amount for the monthly income method and banked money method are defined separately. There are no written rules those have to be equivalent.

you can;t use the combined method for marriage extension anyway you either bank all the 400K baht for 2 months before your yearly extension OR you use 40K baht a month in income. for the previous 12 months
