First entry with DTV from Chennai to DMK. The immigration line literally was 1 hour+ of standing in queue, but the process once I got to the counter was smooth af. The officer saw my DTV printout and didn’t ask a single question, just stamped for 6 months and said “enjoy your DTV”

I overheard them asking almost every person before me how long they were staying and if they have a return ticket, but didn’t ask me any of that. Just leaving a report here from the ones possibly coming in from India and wondering if they’re stuck up about return tickets and accommodation etc

If I enter the country with a DTV visa, do I also have to show a return ticket?

Hello, today I’m applying for DTV. I’m in Bali now and will apply online via the Thai Embassy in Jakarta.

For intended stay in Thailand, is it okay if I choose 6 months?

Also, do I really need to book long term accomodation? Is a 1 week hotel booking enough? I’ll move to another place later anyway.

Do I also need a return ticket?

I’m flying to Ho Chi Min for DTV application. I haven’t bought the returned ticket to Thailand as I want to buy it after my visa has been granted.

Just wondering, i joined a muay thai course starting in the middle of May till nov 2025. So on my intended day of arrival and departure in online dtv visa form , the total duration is about 185 days which is more than 180 days . Because the course starts from 20 may till middle of November. So should i book confirmed return tickets or dummy will do also . Also for how many days i need to book the hotel in my case.

I applied thai E-VISA with a one way ticket and the return from another country is this ok??12 days still processing!

Iam a new Zealander coming to Thailand on a 60 day visiting do i need to show a return ticket out of there as i will probably do a land crossing into Vietnam

Hi, my friend arrives in Thailand entering with visa exempt status (60 days) his return ticket is dated 88 days after arriving. After 60 days or a little less he was going to apply for a 30 day extension. Will he have a problem as the flight ticket is 88 days and the visa exempt is 60 days. Thanks everyone
