TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the experiences of travelers arriving in Thailand with a TR (Tourist) visa and a return ticket valid for 90 days. Many users share that they faced no issues boarding their flights without a return ticket, indicating that the airline's policies vary. Users from Brisbane and Sydney noted that no firm rule required them to present a return ticket when flying with Thai Airways and other carriers. Additionally, it's mentioned that different rules may apply based on the country of departure, stressing the importance of checking local consulate requirements for travel plans.

It looks like different countries may have different rules. But as far as Australia goes no return ticket required for 60 day TR Visa.

I only purchased 60 days insurance and everything was sweet

The recquired documents for the 60 day tv are completely different between the Canberra and Sydney Consulates.

I wonder why they’re different?

The Canberra one doesn’t even ask for Covid insurance.

I know you need it for the Thai pass.

What do you put here if you are traveling around?

Confirmed accommodation under the applicant’s name for the duration of intended stay in Thailand, after 14-day stay at Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) upon entry into Thailand.

I’ll have a look at their requirements. I have heard they do sometimes differ.

Oh, and I’ve bought a fully flexible ticket with Jetstar. I wonder if they’ll ask to see a return flight

Did you get insurance for 60 or 90 days?

The reason I ask is for the 60 day tourist visa they tell you that you must be covered for 90 days

If you're able to board your plane, you're most likely going to be able to enter the country. The airlines are the biggest impediment when you don't have onward travel within the original days of your Visa.

But strictly speaking, you can be refused entry into Thailand without this.

They had no problem with my return ticket but they didn’t understand why the length of 90 days when 30 days allowed. They actually told me that I’m suppose to get 45 days on arrival instead of 30.Let’s see.
