Can I choose 6 months for my DTV application from Bali and do I need to book long-term accommodation?

Hello, today I’m applying for DTV. I’m in Bali now and will apply online via the Thai Embassy in Jakarta.

For intended stay in Thailand, is it okay if I choose 6 months?

Also, do I really need to book long term accomodation? Is a 1 week hotel booking enough? I’ll move to another place later anyway.

Do I also need a return ticket?

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) while in Bali, intending to stay in Thailand for 6 months. They inquire about accommodation requirements and whether a hotel booking for a week is sufficient, as well as the need for a return ticket. Responses clarify that a 6-month stay is acceptable, a one-week hotel booking is sufficient, and a return ticket is not required.

Put 180 days. No return ticket required. And you don't need long term accommodation just show a few nights at a hotel.

Note 180 days or less. A week of accommodation is ok. Return ticket not needed for the DTV

okay I found some examples. The DTV application form says 3 months of bank statements are required.

If I’m applying today (August 4), should the statement cover May 4 – August 4?

Or should it be from May 1 to July 31 instead? Thanks.

I have a standard contract with my company(US company). I work remotely, but the contract doesn’t mention ‘remote’ or say anything about working remotely from Thailand. Is that a problem?
