DTV question: Hi all, as a yoga instructor offering online lessons and retreats, I have a question about the DTV's Workcation part. Can a portfolio with my website, yoga events, certificates, and resume, plus a motivation letter, work for the "professional portfolio" requirement? I don't have a personal company; when needed, I invoice through my spouse's company. Any advice or thoughts?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A yoga instructor inquired whether their professional portfolio, comprising a website, event listings, certificates, and a motivation letter, meets the "professional portfolio" requirement for Thailand's Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) under the Workcation section. Community responses emphasized the importance of verifying specific visa requirements with the relevant Thai embassy, highlighting that the visa is only for remote work, warning against conducting in-person retreats or sessions in Thailand, and mentioning financial evidence for income qualifications.
Is there any explanation in any embassy about what does “professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status” covers?
I mentioned it about "Employment contract" and "Financial evidence" requirements. As long as you can show that you have enough savings and an income, I think thats what is required. Which I'm finding hard in my case. So, my retreats abroad are just showing one of the ways I generate income
- You just need to be careful. You don’t want the embassy to make any assumptions, that you plan to conduct retreats or sessions in person, in Thailand. Maybe show the location of your precious retreats somehow.
I offer retreats outside Thailand, yet they provide me with some income. They probably want to understand how you earn your life and you can support yourself during your stay..
You need to contact the Thai embassy or consulate that you will be applying through to find out what they will require. Check their website to see what it says. Each embassy sets their own requirements.
