✨ DTV Visa (Thailand Workation) Update ✨

• 7 September: Applied at the Thai Embassy in Frankfurt

• 15 September: Embassy requested additional documents

• They asked for a professional portfolio as part of the process

• 29 September: ✅ Visa approved! 🎉

Sharing this in case it helps others — be prepared that proof of professional activity (like a portfolio) may be requested.

Feeling extra lucky because my flight is already booked for 1 October ✈️🇹🇭

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

you think black and white is okay or should the documents printed out in color?

black is fine but if you are only going to print out the DTV E-Visa received in the email sent to you ... print it in color. As the DTV visa is valid for 5 years... make several copies and keep safely.

THIS family laminated their DTV visa for easy use by airline check-in staff and Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival into Thailand

yeah just use a professional looking canva template and show what you make, some projects and clients you work with and clarify that you can do your work 100 % remote and will not work with Thai clients

Show them what you do. Not sure what exactly you do but If you prepare presentations to clients, marketing plans, social media posts, performance dashboards or the like then include some of these.

Just imagine a new client approaches you and wants you to work for them. How do you win them over to work with you instead of someone else?
