This group has been very helpful to me when I was a clueless freelance worker (e.g. making income from etsy, fiverr) that didn't know how to go about with the documents to upload to prove my employment! So I made a youtube video sharing how I presented my professional portfolio, proof of income with invoices etc... Hopefully this video will help anyone like me :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A member of the community shared their experience of navigating the visa application process as a freelancer, specifically highlighting the importance of presenting a professional portfolio and proof of income through invoices. They created a YouTube video to help others in a similar situation. Commentary on the post reflects both excitement and skepticism about the portrayal of freelancing in Thailand, along with a recognition of ongoing changes in visa application processes.

If you applied many months ago, it seems that many things have changed since then

Sucks that you put freelancer in the title and mentioned it in the video just to say you did the soft power Muay Thai. There are floods of these videos of the web right now. I really want to see someone who did the freelancer route

Understand where ur disappointment comes from. When I applied for the visa, it was only 5 months old and there were little to no info of how freelancers with NO business registration should go about showcasing their portfolio. I mentioned in my youtube video that i didnt want to take the risk of rejection and waste my the visa fee. Had i known that my proof of income and employment method as shown in the video would be approved I would have just applied for freelancer option.

yea I saw you didn't want to waste the visa fee but still could have just posted soft power Muay Thai in the thumbnail and title

cannot I not critique content in a respectful manner? I'm sure she's fine since I didn't insult her. That's one of the things a YouTuber needs to be ready for and it's a free piece of advice for her.

Good on you for putting a video up with a thorough explanation, trouble is, the same airheads will be asking the same ridiculous questions day in day out, one can only hope they get banned soon enough

My guess is the double meaning of the word freelancer in Thailand. I was confused when I first arrived and girls would giggle when I said I did freelance work.

Hi yes! You can highlight the bank transaction in ur starement like i did in red and write that its your salary. Because if u dont submit ur salary, they will request for additional documents after a few days asking for u to prove it either way. So to save time do that!
