The only purpose of day 5 test is scamming tourists and ruining their vacation.

You do a test 3 days before you arrive here and another one in the airport, both come back negative. You do another one in day 5, it comes back positive, and they think you brought the virus with you from your country or airplane!!

If you test positive in day 5. The greater odds are you caught it here in Thailand.

And if you catch it here from someone already roaming freely why on earth only new tourists have to quarantine?

Luckily I came here for long stay so it doesn't bother me that much but in the next room people who came here for 2 weeks with their family and now have to spend the rest of their vacation in quarantine!

We all took the risk to come here knowing this can happen. But most of us(Me included) wishfully think it's probably not gonna happen to us. But really, if you're not prepared for the worst it's better to wait until this nonsense is over. if you have to come during this time my advice to you is to be extremely careful until you get your second test results and avoid bars and crowded places at all cost.

Just got my marriage extension approved in principle - to return in 1 month to get results. I informed the officers at Nonthaburi immigration that I have plans to travel tomorrow and will be back on Sunday. They said that they do not recommend it as it is my first year with them (past couple of years was in Bangkok with no issues) and that the odds of someone coming to check are high. They mentioned that if someone calls and I am unavailable - the extension is at my own risk. I am taking the steps to get roaming turned on so I am contactable. This trip has to be made because of several appointments that have been made prior. Does anyone have any advise on this?

Hi everyone,

I'm going to apply for a multi entry non o visa based on marriage in ho chi min city.

First of all, if someone can please confirm me that it has the same requirements of Savannaket (no found proof required).

Second :

on their website page the processing time is 2 working days, I expected 1day as usual.does that means if I deposit my passport on Wed morning they will give it back to me on Friday afternoon?

Third:

Will it be too risky to have my flight back to bkk at 16.55 on the pick up day?

never been there before, Google maps gives me only 20minutes ride from the consulate to the airport..

Thank you everyone for your help

Asking for a friend:

I'm hoping for advice on prospects of getting a TV from Kuala Lumpur given my circumstances (US passport):

* TV Penang, May 2018

* TV Vientiane, Oct 2018

My understanding from what I've read online is that Kuala Lumpur has become doable in recent times. I'm thinking about giving it a go but my concern is that it might be too much of a gamble on getting red stamped.

I'd be interested to see what other's think in terms of the risk - given the same stats, would you try for a TV here or would you opt for a different location? I'm looking to save Vientiane for later and have some business in KL which is why I'm interesting in trying there.
