Just got my marriage extension approved in principle - to return in 1 month to get results. I informed the officers at Nonthaburi immigration that I have plans to travel tomorrow and will be back on Sunday. They said that they do not recommend it as it is my first year with them (past couple of years was in Bangkok with no issues) and that the odds of someone coming to check are high. They mentioned that if someone calls and I am unavailable - the extension is at my own risk. I am taking the steps to get roaming turned on so I am contactable. This trip has to be made because of several appointments that have been made prior. Does anyone have any advise on this?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has received provisional approval for their marriage visa extension but is concerned about traveling before final approval. Despite prior successful experiences in Bangkok, Nonthaburi immigration officers warned them of potential checks during their absence, emphasizing that any resulting complications would be at the user's own risk. The individual is taking precautions to ensure they are reachable while traveling.
