Has this ever happened to anyone? I don’t know how to move forward from here, there’s no way to contact them, they have nothing on their website, no email, chat, and their phone number is not working - I paid the $500 so it’s frustrating to be stuck like this. Is there anyone I can contact?

I’m very confused, I don’t know even know what it means that the country didn’t match the passport - Im a US citizen with a US passport, so I’m confused what didn’t match.

EDIT: I applied online in Indonesia, my passport is USA, never went to an embassy.

Thank you 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is experiencing issues with their Thai visa application, having applied online while in Indonesia. They have paid $500 but received no support or contact from the application site, which appears to have mismatched their passport details. Comments suggest that the application may have been submitted through a non-official site, and respondents discuss common issues like incorrect data entry and the importance of checking passport details during the application process. Several users recommend reapplying with careful attention to details, as well as caution against scams.

I have no idea but I think it’s scam . My friend is now in Jakarta apply online as well and it took him 5 business day to get approved , tomorrow he will fly back to Phuket .

If you wish to re - apply , you can do it but will pay again for visa fee here is the link he got approved.

He used this link

Ben Malol I experienced almost the same issue and the decline email address is the same as the one you received

Andi Traveller any comments other than what we already discussed?

The main issue is that Information inputted by the system at Passport Bio Data page upload MUST BE CHECKED AND CORRECTED by the person applying as the system sometimes reads the biodata page incorrectly. The website is very clear that no refunds will be given.

I belive some USA passport holders are experiencing this as the date must be the globally accepted format of dd/mm/year or the system rejects it

My issue was an expiry of 2033 and the system read it as 1933 and despite believing I edited and corrected it, I must not have hit the save button

Result was I reapplied, did it better, improved all my documents, provided polite cover letter with my Financials greeting in Thai, triple and quadruple checked all details and it was approved after 10 days

I can't think of any other reason apart from what's been mentioned. As you/others noted it is essential to double/triple check before submitting due to the site's faulty reading of passport data.

it did that to me too. I would love to see the javascript behind it showing 19xx. They would be making lots of money of this little "error"

This is a scam. That’s not the correct email address. If you have the document confirming your acceptance then it’s still valid
Sameer ********
you applied on a scam website

They ask on the application where you passport was issued. They are now saying that what you wrote differs than what is stated on the passport. Did you by chance receive a new passport while abroad and listed the country you were in as where you passport was issued? If so, that would be incorrect, as you would have wanted to say USA.
Cissi *********
What John writes is true and there have been posts about this earlier. Unfotunately there is nothing you can do at this point, but to re-apply (the application is cancelled so your fee is lost).

I think he said Indonesia online.

Did you provide evidence you were physically in Indonesia? Me and many others have successfully obtained DTV from Indonesia

I have never seen anything like this. I am in Thailand, and I don't often encounter things like this. I believe you may have been misled by a non-official website.

The same thing happened to me in Hanoi and they said i had entered my passport country as “Vietnam” even though I think I checked everything.

I re applied (and paid the fee again) and then was approved.

Usually you will pay it in Consulate directly only documents are needed

You aren't providing any details of where you applied from. Did you triple check the passport data from the scan of your passport before saving and submitting? Errors in the OCR are common.

Probably in a different country to what you claimed?

I hope you didn't use the back to front date format which Americans use?

can’t be scam. After email i checked in website already. 😂

they can’t even spell “personal information” correctly - that’s rather ironic.

This is a known flaw with the system. When you upload your passport photo page, it overwrites the associated cells that you might have already inputted (name, birthdate, passport issued date, expire, etc.). However, the software that reads and inputs your info isn’t that great, often making mistakes, not being able to distinguish certain letters (I from l, 0 from O). You need to check and fix any errors before submitting.

@Ju ***
did you use MM/DD/YY? Most countries, including Thailand, use DD/MM/YY

you did input the information correctly? What is your opinion of this response?
