What should I do if my Thai visa application was automatically cancelled due to a mistake in my passport details?

Question

So I found out why my application was cancelled automatically by the system.

I inputed all my info correctly, the last thing I did was upload my passport photo and it did its scan and auto filled.

Well I made a mistake by not seeing or miss clicked or something. My application passport expiry was inputed wrong by 1 month.

I am waiting to contact them via phone call. But has anyone else have this experience?
🙏❤️

The user experienced an automatic cancellation of their Thai visa application due to an incorrect expiry date on their passport, which they failed to notice before submission. The comments indicate that this is a common issue, and there are strict rules in place regarding application errors, including the loss of the application fee without the possibility of a refund. Many users advise ensuring that all data is checked thoroughly prior to submission. Some suggest contacting the embassy for assistance, particularly noting that some consulates, like the one in Vancouver, may be more responsive.

START BY READING THE WEBSITE OF THE DESIRED EMBASSY.

Most of the Embassies emphasize very strongly that if you make a error in the application, then the application will be rejected, and the Embassy staff can’t correct that.

(se example below)

Always, when asked for passport information, use the exact writing as in the machinreadable field, at the bottom of the picturepage.

In Canada, the Vancouver Consulate almost always answers the phone, so just call them and see if you can rectify the situation somehow. They have been super friendly and helpful every time I've called. It's worth a try.

If it was an online application, then the money is gone and you need to start again.

Deepak ******* · Answer

The online system eliminates people who don't want to double check everything before submitting their application.

You’re responsible of data you enter and have to read it again… most provably you’ll have to apply and pay again

Sadly for you [mention redacted] you lost that visa application fee

The online eVisa system has no recourse if you didn't check the data that was captured or that you input to make sure it was 100% right before you paid,

Unfortunately there is no get the money back or credit so you can apply another time without paying. 😕

Many MANY people on this group (and other thai related groups) have posted how they didn't notice a mistake had their application cancelled and then had to apply all over again and pay again

Yea it does that, I noticed too, every time I've uploaded it's got the expiration date wrong so you have to change it manually.
