Why was my Thai visa application rejected due to past visits, and how can I get a response from the embassy?

Hello,

I need your help to get some information. I went to the Thai Visa Application Center to submit my application, but they refused to accept it because I haven’t visited Thailand twice in the last five years. I have, however, visited twice in the last 5.5 years. They advised me to get pre-approval from the Royal Thai Embassy.

I emailed them with all the relevant details (visa.dac@mfa.go.th), but unfortunately, I haven’t received any response for over a week, despite follow-up attempts. Could someone assist me with how to reach them, as I didn’t find sufficient information on their website.

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user describes a situation where their application for a Digital Work Visa (DTV) was rejected at the Thai Visa Application Center due to not meeting the requirement of visiting Thailand twice in the last five years, despite having visited twice in the last 5.5 years. They were advised to seek pre-approval from the Royal Thai Embassy and have attempted to reach out via email without success. The community discusses the visa processes, potential misunderstandings regarding the requirements, and offers various suggestions for contacting the embassy, highlighting inconsistencies in rules across different countries.

When people say they had communication with the Thai Embassy in Dhaka about Thai Visas, then did they call this telephone number as listed on the Thai Embassy in Dhaka website?

okay , thank you

I think the 5 year thing is nonsense. If you look on the embassy website at the requirements for the DTV you will see that all DTV applications must be pre approved by the embassy

I don't even see the DTV listed on the website of that company

@John *********
But it's listed at the Embassy... and the Embassy want you to apply at this agency... bad luck I guess... 😁

@Stephan **********
if you open the DTV requirements on the embassy website it's clear that all DTV applications must be pre-approved by the embassy

thank you my brother , could y pls help to let me know how to get pre-approval ??
James ********
Anonymous participant there's NO pre-approval process. Look at the Thai Embassy website for their requirements for the DTV visa and Apply for it per their instructions.
John **********
Anonymous participant perhaps you need to visit the embassy with all the documentation required to apply for the DTV?

do Thai embassy authorize external agencies as official certified agencies like in LTR for DTV now?

@Jack ******
Not in my knowledge.

@Stephan **********
so there is this agency coincidentally named Thai Visa Center TVC and many are confusing it as a official one. Its a havoc.

yes, but how can I get pre-approval to submit my application or reach embassy. As I failed both way , phone & email
Ko *****************
Anonymous participant Have you checked with Thai embassies and consulate general ? My understanding is issuance of DTV is embassy or consulate not immigration. I have read in this group that a bangaladesh national submitted application of DTV but he was told that it may take two weeks.

I have visited - “ Thailand Visa Application Center - Saimon Center” Dhaka, Bangladesh’they said they won’t accept my application without proof of recent Thailand tour atleast twice in last five year window. My both twice visit crossed that window. Then I asked I want to request my proposal to reconsider then they said you can email them and submit the proof of pre-approval from embassy over email. I emailed but my bad luck I didn’t got response yet and I also tried to reach over phone number.
