I recently went to Koh Samui Immigration for a new 1-year "retirement" extension of my non-immigrant O visa and got it without any issues, the new stamp in my passport says "EXTENSION OF STAY PERMITTED UP TO 29 APR 2022", as expected.
Today I logged in to Immigration's Android app and got a pop-up message saying that I was on 10 days overstay, with a permit date of 29/04/2021! I logged out and then in again, the same message appeared again.
It seems that their database is not up to date (yet) or that the app is not that reliable. Should I better inform Immigration about the issue or is this (kind of) "normal" anyway and may be solved by itself with time?
Has anyone else here ever experienced the same kind of situation?
TLDR : Answer Summary
After receiving a 1-year "retirement" extension for a non-immigrant O visa in Koh Samui, the user finds that the Immigration app incorrectly states they are 10 days overstayed, despite having a valid extension. Concerns arise about whether to report this issue to Immigration or if it's a common database lag that may resolve itself. Several commenters share similar experiences with system updates and recommend contacting Immigration for clarification.
