What should I expect after applying for a 30-day visa extension in Thailand?

Hello - I went to immigration office today for 30day extension and they gave me this after I handing them application, they stamped and marked up this paper and stuck it into my passport, handed it to me, and they said nothing. I just walked away thinking it was all finished, but now I'm not sure. Is this all the constitutes visa extension 30 days? Is there no stamp in my passport?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about whether they successfully obtained a 30-day extension of their stay in Thailand after receiving a document that appears to be an address notification receipt rather than the expected visa extension stamp. Several comments clarify that the document received does not represent the visa extension and that the proper extension stamp should be clearly marked in the passport. They recommend returning to the immigration office to ensure the visa extension was processed correctly.

Time to close before we get the procedures at each and every Immigration Office.

There are more than 70 nation wide, so it can be a very long list.

The lesson learned: Do NOT leave the immigration Office before you understand what is told and checked the dates of the new stamps.

If things are wrong, it can be easily corrected when there, otherwise it will be a return to the office and stand in line again. Good luck.

It's clearly mentioned on the receipt " Receipt of Notification "Of your address" Not the visa extension. Check out visa extention stamp on your passport.

Korat immigration office has 3 separate offices (1) The big office is for yearly extension of stay.

(2) A smaller office/ building 30-40 meters away from the big office, the notice on the door says 90 day reporting.

(3) A small office next door to the 90 day reporting for notifying the address where you stay.

Maybe you went in the wrong office

In Chiang Mai there are to buildings at the IO you go to the first office where they check for your TM30 and after that you go to the "real" IO to get your visa stamp

Also if you had extension there would also be a receipt stapled in the back of your passport, if you haven't fount the stamp or receipt of extension definitely go back to the office and ask

As Robert said that's just them saying they have notified your address, extension stamp will be in your passport with the date you applied and the date it ends... as Robert says go back if you haven't got the stamp in passport

What you show has nothing to do with a 30 day Extension of Stay, which is a big stamp in your passport with dates and signatures.

This is a receipt of notification of your address.

Search your passport for the Extension of Stay permitted up to xx/xx/xx or go back to Immigration and apply again. Do not leave before you understand all.

I just got my 30 day extension yesterday. Big stamp in passport. Not seen this paper before. Check each page of your passport for the stamp
