Hello there! The office immigration from Pai said to me that they can't give me the visa extension because I need to going to Surat Thani to finish the process from the last application. Somebody here have the same problem? Or somebody already did that?
I arrived to Thailand on 28 January and i had my 90 days stamp that end on 27 April but I was stuck in koh Tao, so I paid the visa extension on 7 April. The day after, they declared amnesty visa.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing difficulties with their visa extension in Thailand, as local immigration informed them they must visit Surat Thani to complete the process. Despite having applied for an extension, they were told to return to close out their previous application due to an 'under consideration' status. Comments indicate that this is standard procedure and suggest that the user should plan a trip to Surat Thani or Koh Samui for resolution.
