How can I obtain a second visa extension in Thailand if my first extension was processed in a different immigration division?

Hello Folks!

Phangan, Surat Thani.

Had 1st Visa extension in BKK 31 March-29 April and then amnesty.

Today in Phangan mobile visa office immigration officer said following which quite shocked me

«your stamp should be confirmed at Bangkok, we aren’t allowed to do that».

So they REFUSED to make 26sept under consideration/extension because first extension was issued by Sub Div 2, Imm Div 1 and they are Div 6.

Been very persuasive talking to them but no result. Maybe someone can tell how legit is this?

Or anyone had experience in having 2nd extension in place different from the 1st extension?

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat in Thailand shares their experience of facing difficulties in obtaining a second visa extension in Phangan, which was refused by the immigration officer due to the first extension being issued in a different division in Bangkok. The conversation reveals that in similar situations, individuals have successfully resolved this by returning to Bangkok for stamping and approval. Comments suggest that the applicant should follow formal procedures to connect the two extensions.

and I think at this point
@Alexander ********
understands what they need to do IF they're gonna get the new 30 day embassy request extension

Good Luck, remember you need to book at appointment at the Muang Thong Thani Immigration location.

Hi Alexander! We faced the same

Problem in hua hin and had to go to Bangkok for the stamp approval and got a new ‘under consideration’ stamp as well so yes you will have to go to Bangkok for this

yeah. the biggest deal is that you have to get to bkk twice 🤯

IF you look at the stamp that's NOT voided, it clearly says application of stay is under consideration and applicant must contact again in person on 28th APR 2020.

DID you go back on that date and "close the loop" on that extension?

they said in april "no need to come" and now Samui can't make another stamp because BKK is "under consideration". Collision

You don't have a lot of choices
@Alex*****
you either slog to bangkok and get that "loop closed" on the 'open' extension (which you would do at the MTT immigration office OR you prepare to depart on or by the 26th of Sept.
