Hi, I did my 90 day reporting online on an OA retirement Visa several times successfully, but this time I received an email from immigration saying:
Unapproved because the address not match on the system , (Please contact Phuket Immigration Phuket Town Office Room.101)
Is this because I checked into some hotel & this hotel address is "on the system" for me, instead of the address I registered when originally applying for the Visa? Coz I thought the SYSTEM is asking for our original registered address π€·?
The form (attached) doesn't clarify what address specially π€·... No surprise... π
Also, I'm currently not in Phuket province. Will this be a problem?
Is it still possible to register my 90 days reporting online at this point?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user encountered an issue with their online 90-day reporting for an OA retirement visa, receiving an unapproved notification from immigration due to an address mismatch. This problem arose after the user checked into a hotel, which updated the system with the hotel address instead of their registered address. Suggestions from the community included ensuring a new TM30 form is filed for the current address, noting the need to update TM30 details when traveling, and confirming the timeline for submitting a TM47 if already past the due date. It was advised to manage reporting requirements as different immigration offices may have varying rules.

I don't wish to hijack this thread, but I have a related question: can we use a Thai driving license to check into a hotel? This way perhaps we won't need to file TM30 again when we return to our permanent accommodation.
Ah, I see. I didn't know about that. In my case then, I'd ask the landlord to only file TM30 a few days before I go for 90 day reporting so my permanent address is what they have on the system when I go.
my current 30 day ends on the 25th of January. I entered Bangkok on the 19thβ¦. then traveled to Singapore till the 27th. My visa application was rejected( checked wrong box) I returned to Thailand and now have till the 25th! Will I be able to do a β border runβ from Hua Hin to Cambodia and get an additional 30 day visa?
yes, phuket is one of those rouge immigrations that require you to file a NEW tm 30 whenever u check into a hotel or leave the country, even if ur at the same address>
if ujr NOT in phuket and wont be ( before the 7 days after date allowed) just forget it until u need use immigration as ur going to be hit with a 2,000 baht ( 1,000 no receipt) fine for no 90 day report
It appears that this issue is different around the many io offices in Thailand. Until recently I did not have to file tm30 after staying away in a hotel or other place where a tm30 was filed for me. Recently I got a good telling off when doing 90 day report because I had stayed in Udon for a few nights. The situation had changed. I was not fined and had all the papers with me for tm30 so got both done together but was warned not to do it again. I now do both tm30 and tm47 on line when required which makes things a lot easier. You have to have a co operative landlord to do this as the property has to be registered and to do that you need to upload copies of their details and house books. Then it is a simple matter of uploading your passport every time you return after a trip. I use tm30.io and the official tm47 site both of which are easy to use.
I think you refer to the official immigration site but I registered on tm30.io which also provides a means of printing the form to keep in your passport. Local immigration were quite happy with it.
Whenever you travel to another province and return to your "home address" you need to update your TM30 details, otherwise your address will show as the last hotel you stayed at
Like you said, it sounds like a mismatch between your most recent TM30 address and the address your filed for your TM47.
You can try getting a new TM30 filed by the owner or landlord for where you're staying and file the TM47 again if you have enough time. You can only submit the 90 day report online up until your due date. If that's already passed then you have until 7 days after your due date to file in person. Please note all immigration offices are closed until January 2nd.
