Do I need a TM 30 from my friend for 90-day reporting if I'm staying at their place in Bangkok?

Hello all,

90 day reporting: If I'm staying at a friend's (not renting) in BKK does the friend have to do a TM 30?

Also, I used the online reporting system and it's been pending for a week... It's now due tomorrow. Any ideas?

I've used the online system previously and it was always returned within the same day. Even errors on my part were reported, corrected, and rechecked within a few hours.

Caveats...I did put in a new BKK address this time, and this was the first time using the "new" online reporting system that apparently launched recently.

I've tried calling immigration and I've been on hold for nearly an hour...

It inquires whether the friend must file a TM 30 report and addresses concerns about using a new address for reporting. The user mentions issues with the online reporting system and waits for approval, raising questions about the necessity of in-person filings when changing addresses.

I think that it's not gonna go thru and you will get denied or rejected because you're using an address that Immigrations doesn't have on file for you (you didn't do your previous 90 day report with that address or get your last extension using that address).

BE that as it may you have until 7 days after the due date to file in person and not get fined. SO you can wait a few more days to see if it's approved or denied before you go out and file in person.

If the TM 30 with new address is filed, could I still use the online system or must the first report under a new address be done in person?

You can try online until the due date.

Your friend has to report your TM30.

If you changed the address, your 90days report wouldn't be approved until you file TM30 on that address.

You have 7days after the due date to report in person at the immigration office.

In your case, you need to report TM30 first, then submit a 90days report at MTT.
