What should I do if my online 90-day report is rejected due to a missing TM 30 registration after my return from Vietnam?

Here is the scenario: I bought a condo in Jomtien and moved into it on October 20, 2023. I had an agency do my TM 30 and it is stapled to the back of my visa. I have a valid business visa (not sure that makes a difference). I went for a holiday to Vietnam December 29 to January 4, 2024. I forgot to do a TM 30 on my return. Last week, I registered to do an online 90 day report and it was rejected and said I needed to report to the nearest immigration office. Someone told me that if I am doing a 90 day report online for the first time it will reject because you must first do an in person or mail in report first. I thought if I went to Koh Samet (which I wanted to do anyways) for a few days and asked them for a copy of the TM 30 and then on my return do a TM 30 that I am back would solve the neglected TM 30 and then go in person to the immigration for my 90 day report would solve my issue. Any comments?

Maybe I didn't explain properly. I would go to Ko Samet, the hotel would so their TM 30 and then on my return I would do another TM 30 online for my condo here in Jomtien thus requiring me to do my 90 day check-in with immigration in Jomtien. Does this now make sense?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (OP) moved to a condo in Jomtien and correctly had their TM 30 filed but forgot to register it upon returning from Vietnam. This oversight led to a rejection of their online 90-day report. Subsequent comments clarified that to file the first 90-day report, one must typically do it in person. However, the OP successfully resolved their issue by filing a TM 30 online first, which allowed them later to submit the 90-day report online as well.

I believe that the OP has the answers needed for his question.

Thanks all for your helpful replies.

Well I think I am okay now. I believe I was rejected the first time because I tried to do the 90 day report first with no TM 30 on file since my entry was on January 4 and no TM 30 on file. So I filed a TM 30 online and received the informed successfully notice and following this I reapplied for my 90 day report online and it was successful Hooray! Thank you everyone for your comments.

not true, it depends on the immigration office. I did my first one online.

Jomtien Immigration office is now requiring a New TM30 address registration to be made by you as owner of your condo when you return from being outside of Thailand.

You can try doing it online but if not accepted then you will have to go to the Thai Immigration office in Jomtien.

You MUST do the 90 day report at your registered address for your Thai Visa/one year extension of stay. Using the on-line 90 day report or in person.

Jomtien Immigration office has an Appointment system in Place. Not 🚫 required to have an appointment, but wise to have one made.
