My online 90 day report was refused with error message please update Bangkok TM30 .

1) Nothing has changed since my last 90 day report. Obviously I haven't traveled. Also, I thought they'd abolished this TM30.

2) where do I go to update this, CW or MTT? What do I take?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user faced an error while submitting their online 90-day report, requiring them to update their TM30, which they believed had been abolished. Community members clarified that the TM30 has not been abolished, and if a user has traveled within Thailand, a new TM30 might be needed. They advised visiting the relevant immigration office (MTT) to update it. One user shared that a law change in June required them to update their TM30 due to their last entry being in January, indicating confusion about reporting requirements for domestic and international travel.

OK so I visited MTT. They said the reason they wanted a new TM30 report is because the law changed in June and my last entry was in January this year. I did not update my TM30 then. Apparently, my last 90 day report passed without any questions "because of Covid".

They assured me that with this new updated TM30 I don't have to report anymore, not when I travel in Thailand, not when I travel abroad, only when I change my address. I'm still a bit confused, but hope this helps others.

I think it depends on each Immigration Office..I asked at my local Immigration and they said I still have to report each time..So better to check first where you are located.

About a year ago they changed to not requiring it for domestic travel but was still required for international travel. I guess international travel is OK if one could travel internationally. Thanks for the update.

That could explain my experience. Thanks for the update!

Strange. I just did my 90 day report using my "old" tm30 slip. I've stayed in numerous hotels in the meantime. No problems.

Did you go to other provinces? How old was your tm30?

Thanks!

it's over a year old, and I stayed in many hotels, with no probs on previous 90 day reports. I'll update once I know more.

Did you get the error while you were submitting the online form or did you submit the form successfully and then they got back to you about your TM30?

I just entered my 90day report online about an hour ago and the status is pending but otherwise everything went normally. I've stayed in a hotel in Isaan a couple of times since my last 90 day report. The hotel copied my passport. The question then would be if they ever submitted it to Immigration. That I don't know.

Well. I guess I will be waiting to see what happens to my 90 day report.

>Obviously I haven't traveled.

A new TM30 may have been filed if you traveled internally, and spent the night in a hotel room. The TM30 has *NOT* been abolished.

>where do I go to update this

You'd submit both at MTT. See attached.

I've done 90 day online since staying in hotels away from my registered TM30 address with no problem. I tend to agree with
@Benjamin *****
, there may be an error with your last TM30. Are the address details identical?

REPOST: Self File TM-30 BANGKOK ONLY.

This is the way you need to fill out the TM30 form if you are filing with NO documentation from your land lord

Your name goes at the top of the form, your address goes under it, then your address AGAIN as the address where the foreigner lives.

In the blank area at the bottom left hand side of the piece that they will tear off and give back to you write your address again.

On the second page (the table) put all your information.

You sign BOTH forms on the signature lines. Print the forms correctly. the first page is portrait orientation and second page is landscape orientation :O

Make copies of;

-lease

-data page of your passport

-visa (if you have one)

-extension (if you have one)

-entry stamp

-TM6 departure card

sign the copies of your passport stuff.

This is a way to file a TM30 in BANGKOK without any information from your land lord at all. <- (meaning you don't need their i/d, their house book listing, a power of attorney form with the 10 baht in tax stamps).

AFAIK: this ONLY works in Bangkok but I can say with 100% accuracy that it does work (y)

@Joost ********
how else does a hotel report to immigration that a foreigner is staying there without the use of a tm30? All happens automatically online at every hotel.

I wish everything happened automatically online for me too...

Depends on the immigration office. But it sounds like something is wrong with your TM30 they have on file. ASK CW what their policy is.

OK will do. If anything interesting comes out of this, I'll update the post.

I really thought this TM30 requirement for domestic travel had been abolished. Thanks for the info.
