I have delayed tm30 registration 3 weeks since arrival. Chonburi immigration wants 1600 baht fine. Ive heard it can be twice less, perhaps in another province.

But what if i dont do registration and exit the country without visa extension, can i avoid paying a fine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has delayed their TM30 registration for three weeks and is contemplating leaving Thailand without extending their visa. They inquire if skipping registration will allow them to evade the fine from immigration. Comments indicate that leaving the country without extending the visa means no fines will incur, as TM30 registration is primarily relevant when requesting Immigration services like an extension. Several commenters also suggest that if the user needs their TM30 for future entries, it would be advisable to get it sorted without delay, as penalties for TM30-related issues can vary by province.

you can pretty much do what you want... Good luck!

you are in the wrong.you have 24 hours. Why would you delay? Pay the fine.

If you not sure about IO allow you to come back, just arrange "special" service in Suvarnabhumi airport, to avoid any additional questions

If you exit the country and come back, it will cost you less than 1600 THB

I do/did the same in Trat, Chiang Mai and Krabi!! Walk in, get a list of documents they need. Go home, prepare docs and head back to local immigration....no problems whatsoever. But it seems to be too much hassle for many people!!

TM30 is a rule made for landlords.

true, but apparently, it's your duty to make sure the do file it

Consider how many times you have entered and exited plus future plans.

You can’t just keep border bouncing without help.

The fine may be cheaper in the long run.

But whatever you do don’t over stay.

If you are not doing any business at the immigration then just ignore the tm30. Its not even your task. Immigration at the airport have nothing to do with tm30.

There is no outstanding fine. If you are fined you pay on the spot.

Ok... even with outstanding penalty (fine) !! Maybe its bcoz Immig has suspended use of tm30

No. TM30 is seperate. No issue at the airport. No one ever reported any issue with it.

You think ??? They do have a nationwide computer system.. Trying to leave by air you will be questioned for sure ..IMO

Simply book a single night in a very cheap hotel and ask for a copy of the TM30 and go do your extension. Cheaper than paying the fine.

1600,- thb is the official fine for the landlord, if he doesn't file a TM30. If you need an extension or COR or whatever, you need to pay it for your landlord. Try to get it back from him.

Just to be clear, you are not saying you are not going to do the extension and just overstay, correct? You are saying you would just leave when your current time runs out. If not, there are fines associated with overstay

He’s not gonna file for an extension and he’s going to leave the country when his time runs out. Very simple. No mention of overstay.

all I did was read the post. You should try it sometime .

I did read the post, and I then was asking him a follow up question/statement, to ensure he realizes that. Again, he was planning on applying for a 30 day extension, but decided not to do so, because of $60 extension cost. While he doesn’t say how many of the 30 days that he would have been granted, he would have used, it is strange to decide to leave your vacation earlier to save $60. Just wanted to make sure he was not attempting to stay the same amount of time he originally wanted, but without the extension. No big deal to ask him. If you are so hot and bothered by my question to him, suggest to walk away from you android phone

@John ******
He's not talking about overstay, he's talking about TM30
John *******
@Andy ***********
- his follow up statement was asking if he didn’t get the extension, can he leave without paying a fine related to TM30. Just want to make sure he isn’t just thinking he can instead not get an extension and just overstay. Clearly was planning on extending/staying. Not sure, I would end my trip early because on 1,600 baht fine.

Yes, you only need to produce your TM30 if you use Immigration for something such as an Extension of Stay. When you exit the country nobody cares about your TM30 or lack of.

Go to bangkok stay in hotel get copy of tm30 and do extension there. This is second time i heard chonburi being heavy about tm30

If you leave you won't be fined. When you return do the TM30. The past does not exist for TM30 so any TM30 filed replaces all previous history.
