i'll be doing my extension of stay (half thai kid) this week.

i've been hearing reports about people being made to pay a fine for not filing a tm30 before their extension is processed but I haven't stayed overnight anywhere else (where I would hv to show my passport anyway) so can i assume i won't hv to worry about a tm30 fine ?

all my 90 day reports hv been done online

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is concerned about whether they will incur a fine for not filing a TM30 when they go to extend their stay in Thailand, given that they have not stayed overnight anywhere else and have completed their 90-day reports online. Comments suggest that the need for a TM30 depends on local immigration regulations, and although it may be best to be prepared for a fine, if everything is in order with their registration, they might not have to pay one.

and last year Thai Immigration was not enforcing the TM30 reporting requirements.

Than you are okay, you report within 24 hours after arriving and as long as you do not leave and stay somewhere else the report stays the same in the database.

thank u

i was gonna say i'm confused by the 'report' and the 'registration' words u used in ur reply.

just to make it clear - i do my 90 day reports religiously online with full acknowledgement from immigration.my last one was 3 weeks ago

basically, i did my LAST extension of stay in september 2018. they did ***not **** ask me for a tm30 last year. since then, i hv not stayed away from my residence AT ALL so when they do the check, they will not find a record of my passport being submitted by a hotel or a guest house or upon leaving the country.

do i need to be concerned about the tm30 fine ? \

Simply be prepared to pay a fine. And if not fined...you will be happy. The TM30 rules being applied are the decision of your local immigration office.

Good luck...

People who did not report their address are made to paid a fine and make a report. If you fall in that category than you can assume you have to pay a fine also, if you have done this registration and all is in order you may assume you do not have to pay a fine.

You need the TM30 from the last time you returned to your home, whenever that was.
