What is the process to obtain a re-entry permit for a retirement visa in Thailand on an urgent trip?
Dear Hive,
I have a family emergency and need to fly to my home country unplanned and in a rush. I am on a retirement visa with no multiple entry.
What's the process for getting a re-entry on the way out please?
I travel from USM via BKK. Do I get this is USM or in BKK and if so where?

You buy a re-entry permit in Suvarnabhumi airport in international departure 2, it is after security but before you stamp out. You don't need anything (no photo, no copies, etc) they charge a 200 baht service charge to issue the re-entry permit so single is 1200 and multiple is 4000

even if you stamp out, or go via entrance 1, you can cut round on planeside and access the rentry permit booth immigration area....I discovered recently! 😁

thank you. The reason i asked is because on international flights I stamp out in Samui always. I've never had to go through immigration in BKK. So do i need to go out and come back in?Liz *********

can access immigration for re entry permit from planeside suvarmabhumi ...I did , as did others recentlyTod *********

why not go to the samui immigration office today and get a re-entry permit BEFORE you fly OR
tell them when you go to stamp out at that airport that you need a re-entry permit and see what they say
