TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon returning to Thailand with your retirement visa and multi-entry re-entry permit, you simply need to present your passport at immigration. Make sure you show the re-entry stamp and verify that the correct visa stamp is applied. There's no additional paperwork required if you're staying at the same address. However, be aware that you should complete the TM30 registration online within 24 hours of your arrival.

Nothing. You have a multi-entry pass, so just go through passport control as normal.

@Jim *********
That's not what he asked about. He meant immigration where he's staying.

read his post again.

He asks about immigration on his return to Thailand. He already has the visa and the re-entry stamp.

I always hand over my passport open at the re-entry stamp so they can't miss it. Also check the stamp they put in your passport matches the date before moving away

Assuming you mean immigration at an airport then all you need is your passport and last boarding card.

Check they give you the correct stamp while you are at the desk. Much easier for the IO to fix a mistake then than trying to get it rectified afterwards.

Please do you think the much talked about 60 day visa exempt will ever happen now?
Stuart *********
@Ed *******
I think that they may consider it for the high season (Nov-April) but I don’t know if it will happen at all.

How long does it take to process your retirement Visa? Can you do it over there or do you have to be offshore?
Max *************
@David ********
If you're talking about the O-A Visa based on retirement, you can only apply for it back home. But,there's a mandatory quite expensive health insurance involved plus a medical check.

Your country (best), a neighbouring Embassy or in Thailand (needs funds in a Thai bank account)

@Graham *****
how long does it take Graham?
Graham ******
@David ********
It depends on the country you are applying from, UK is fast (3 to 5 days) but France is notoriously slow
David *********
@Graham *****
excellent . Am I correct in saying Graham, one approved you have 90 days in which to travel or it expires. And also once arrived you aren't allowed to leave the Country for a period of time?
Graham ******
@David ********
Yes, valid for entry for 90 days from date of issue (Non-O) and to leave/re-enter you would require a re-entry permit to maintain your status during your first 90 days
David *********
@Graham *****
so what happens after the 90 days Graham?
Graham ******
@David ********
You apply for the 12 month extension of stay once your money in the bank has seasoned for 2 months
David *********
@Graham *****
sorry Graham I just need to ask one more. The way I was reading retirement Residency terms it seems to say (please correct me if wrong) that in essence if you apply for residency but say you wanted to spend 6 months here in the UK and 6 months over there, you lose residency status?
Graham ******
@David ********
you have no residency status on a retirement visa, that's why you need to extend your stay every 12 months
David *********
@Graham *****
and if you leave Thailand during the 12 month extended Visa say on month 2 can you return to resume the 12 months?
Graham ******
@David ********
Yes, you only need to be back in the country when your extension is due to continue the process otherwise you have to start again with a new Non-O 90 day Visa
Neil ********
