TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a student visa for their 5-year-old son who is attending school in Cherngtalay and simultaneously wishes to obtain a guardian visa for themselves. Recommendations include contacting the school for information about the Ed Visa, as well as visiting the local Thai immigration office for necessary documentation and procedures. A Thai bank account with a deposit of 500,000 Thai baht is also noted as a requirement for the guardian visa.

Your sons school should know what documents would be needed to apply for the Ed visa for him. If they don’t then you’d need to go to the main immigration office in Phuket town and go to room 103. They will be able to tell you what’s needed from your school and you.

Ask your son's school about getting the Ed VISA for him.

IF you obtain the Ed Visa for one child you can apply for the Guardian Visa ...it requires a Thai bank account with 500,000 Thai baht deposit in your name only.

What is your passport nation?

For added information visit your local Thai immigration office and ask about their requirements for the Ed Visa and Guardian Visa
