Hi - advice please - my son and I entering on student and guardian non Ed visa. What visa shall I apply for my second son who I have not yet chosen a school for? Ideally a visa which I can then change to student whilst staying in Thailand and not having to leave, reapply and re- enter. Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on what visa to apply for their second son who has not yet selected a school, while currently in Thailand on a student and guardian non-educational visa. Suggestions from the community include applying for a single-entry tourist visa which is valid for 60 days and can be extended for an additional 30 days, providing time to secure enrollment in a school and later transition to a student visa without leaving Thailand.

get a single entry tourist visa for the child that hasn't gotten a school selected yet, because if you bring them in on a free stamp and can't find a school fast enough to where they run on overstay they can't get an ED visa inside the country.

A single entry tourist visa is good for 60 days and can be extended for 30 more and that will give you plenty of time to find a school, get them enrolled and get them an ED visa

Hmmmm πŸ€”

You have 2 children...

ONLY one parent in Thailand with them?

What is the age of the child which does not have a visa?

What is their passport nation?
