TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information about bringing their 5-year-old child to Bangkok while they study Thai for one year. They specifically ask about visa requirements for their child to attend nursery school.

What is your nationality? Assuming your child is the same.

As a French national you and your child may enter visa exempt for 30 days. When you have an education visa your child could get a dependent visa off the back of that. Your child does not need an education visa to attend a nursery school.

you mean that my child will be attached to my study visa ?

you would have to apply for a “dependent” visa for your child. Your child wouldn’t receive one automatically. They can piggyback off of your long term visa.

they can be. However a child (under 15) cannot be fined or blacklisted for overstay so many don’t bother with a visa for their children. No repercussions on future entries if they have an overstay stamp.
