TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on changing their and their daughter's visa to an Education (ED) and Guardian visa after the husband's job loss. They plan to obtain a letter from the school and inquire about the process of canceling their current family visa, whether this change can be done without leaving Thailand, and the typical duration for this visa change. Comments provide insights on required documents such as a bank statement and the possibility of needing to leave the country for the Guardian visa application.
To switch your daughter to a Ed visa based on attending an international school, should be no issue with the documents from the school. However I fear you may have an issue trying to get a guardian visa off of that in country. You may find you’ll have to leave Thailand and apply at a nearby consulate for a non o based on being a guardian.
No issue getting further extensions for that but the amount is 500,000 not 400k as someone quoted earlier.
