Good morning.

We need some advice please.

We recently moved to Thailand from SA, my husband is working here..the embassy in S A told us to apply for ED visas for the kids as they will be attending school here and my husband and I are on his non B visa which is easy to renew however not so easy for the kids nowπŸ™ can you assist us on how to go about doing this or point us in the right direction.

Is it possible for us to maybe reapply for Non B visas for the kids now that we are here in Thailand?

Thanking you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining ED visas for their children who will attend school in Thailand. They are on a non-B visa and are unsure about the application process and requirements for their kids. Comments suggest that the school will provide necessary documents for the ED visa application at the immigration office, and emphasize that obtaining the visas should be straightforward as long as the required paperwork is in order.

Go to the immigration you and your kids, and apply for the ED, and take all paperwork from school, if not enough the immigration will say what you need more. So not stress. And like other told, your kids get a 90 days.

The school not do anything, just provide paperwork, so all about ED visa is a business with you and immigration only.

All will be fine. 😊

Btw remember some pictures of the kids, (little bit more big than a passport picture) and a pen. (Many times I try not have a pen there when get a form from immigration. πŸ–‹οΈ 😁

You shouldn't have much of a problem getting the Non-ED visas for your children with the paperwork from your school. It's a straight forward process. I'd say go to the immigration office you use and get the hand out listing the requirements.

Kids can't get Non-B visas and I hope you're not on a Non-B But on a Non-O based on being married to a foreigner who legally works here.

The place you start to get the ED visas is at the school where the kids go. Your kids can't be the first foreign kids enrolled and the school should know the documents to give you to take to the immigration office and start the process of getting them 90 day ED visas and then extensions based on going to school here

hi. Yes we have all the paperwork from the school but they don't submit it we need too - but we are not sure of the process we need to follow.

It would have been easier if they kids were on my husband's visa but we were given the wrong advice to apply for a ED visa for themπŸ˜”

schools don't submit the paperwork for you, they provide it TO you. You and the kids go to the immigration office (sometimes with a school representative, but sometimes not) and apply for the in country Non-ED visas

If you want the kids "piggy backed" onto your husbands visa (like you are) get someone from your husbands employer to go with you to the immigration office and see if you can get the kids Non-O visas based on their father having a long term extension
