Dear All, am new in Chiangmai, looking for some advices about Thai Visa. Thanks!
1) what is the cost to get a "Guardian Visa" and "Student Visa" (kids study at International School) -am holding a "90 days Non-O Single" entry visa at the moment & kids on "90 days ED" Single entry visa both done overseas before arrived at CNX
2) my hubby enter CNX with "90 days Non-O Single" entry visa without realised cannot leave the country before apply renew to 1yr "Guardian Visa", so now on "30 days Tourist Visa". But need travel frequently out of CNX, so each time get renew the 30 days visa. How long will it goes on till the airport officer start questioning? And will they stop him from entering CNX on the spot? If he want to do "Guardian Visa" after, will he need to leave CNX first or can he just apply here? What will be the cost involved?
3) any reasonable price/ good service Visa agent /lawyer can recommend?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks information on obtaining 'Guardian' and 'Student' visas in Chiang Mai for themselves and their children, who are currently on short-term visas. They also inquire about the implications of frequently renewing a 30-day Tourist Visa, questioning the risks of potential scrutiny from immigration officials. Additionally, they request recommendations for reliable visa agents or lawyers to assist with the process.

He also can apply for a 90 day Non-O visa based on having a child in school here at the thai immigration office in Chiang Mai from a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp. In Bangkok you need 15 days left on your current stamp to do it because it goes under consideration for 14 days until you go back and get the Non-O visa and the new 90 day stamp inked into your passport. I am not sure how long he would need on his current stamp in Chiang Mai.
I'd suggest you go to the immigration office and ask them the procedure.
The financial requirements for the parent of a foreign child attending school here is 500K baht in a thai bank account for 30 days BEFORE you apply for the year extension (every yearly extension after that the money needs to be in the bank 3 months before the application).
He should get another 90 day single entry Non-O visa based on raising a child from a thai consulate like he did.
If he can't stay inside the country until the visa runs down and he cn apply for a yearly extension based on raising children he should get a re-entry permit when he exits the country. That will keep the 90 day stamp "alive" so he's stamped in for the same expiration date when he returns. (Obviously he has to come back before that 90 day stamp expires).
In order for him to apply for a yearly extension of stay based on supporting / raising a child he would need to meet the financial requirements for that extension and apply for it when he has 45 days or less left on the 90 day stamp he would get when he entered by the Non-O visa
You're asking a LOT of question so lets take 'em one at a time
At some point your husband is gonna get questioned on why he's comin' in on 30 day visa exempt stamps so often. It won't matter to them in the least that he has a child in school here.
