TLDR : Answer Summary
Relocating to North Phuket is feasible when obtaining visas through children's education, specifically via a 'guardian visa'. This visa requires you to have your children enrolled in an international school and meet financial conditions, including maintaining at least 500,000 THB per person in a Thai bank account for a designated time prior to application. Each child allows for one guardian visa, which is crucial if both parents want to acquire this visa.

No issue if your kids are enrolled in one of the international schools here. Providing you meet the financial requirements for the “guardian visa”. 500k per person in a Thai bank account in your name. Must be in the bank for 1 month before applying (3 months for subsequent applications). The school will be able to supply you with the necessary documents for the initial visa and subsequent extension of stay. One guardian visa per child, so you’d need to have 2 or more kids enrolled if you both want that visa. Be aware that if the bank account is in your joint names the amount is doubled and you need a valid marriage certificate.

i use the term “guardian visa” in quotes as it doesn’t exist per se. it’s a non immigrant O visa based on looking after your child in education.
