TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking assistance regarding the appropriate visa for their 5-year-old son who is planning to attend school in Thailand. They hold UK passports and are considering options for visas. Comments suggest obtaining a dependent visa for the son along with a NON-O visa for the parent. Additional information about the user's specific circumstances is requested to provide a more tailored response.

You can get a dependent visa for your son , he gets non-ed visa via school and you get non-o visa.

Adrian Ady Smyth if you have a business in Thailand then you can go for a non imm B visa, with the correct documents that can give you a long term stay.

Of course if it's £50,000 a month coming in then you could go for the elite visa

unfortunately there's not many options open to you. You cant get a long term stay based on being over 50 or based on being married to a Thai citizen.
