My partner managed to open a bank account quite easily with the DTV visa. If your condo/house lease is under your name you can get one

I provided the first page of my bank statement with minimum current balance 10k, my portfolio, a picture of myself in the last 6 months, self assessment tax return, a cover letter addressed to the Thai embassy, picture of passport, a document indicating my current location. Overall it was super easy and quick. They needed further documents, I submitted it and got approved the next day

I got my DTV approved a couple weeks ago! It took under a week with further requested documents
