Hi. Wondering how many successful DTV holders here from London embassy ? Or if any one from Uk had problems obtaining. My personal experience is only for NON B multiple entry in April this year. Instead of multiple I only get single entry but was charged x3 for multiple and I know I can forget about the refund.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The community is sharing experiences regarding obtaining Thai visas, particularly the DTV and Non-B visa from the UK embassy. Users report challenges with multiple entry visas, often receiving only single entries despite applying and paying for multi-entry. Positive experiences are noted where some have successfully obtained their DTVs in a short time, while concerns arise regarding the refund process for mistakenly charged fees. Reports indicate that multiple entry tourist visas are seldom granted.

I’m about to apply via an agency here in Thailand . They recommended me to apply via uk embassy as I have settle status and some of my bank accounts are in the UK . The problem is I don’t pay tax in the UK . But I work for an American company for 2 years with contract payslip etc . But I’m a bit concerned with the tax issue . They said if I have contracts and payslip don’t need it . Got any thoughts on that ? Thank u :)

I think just apply with the contract and payslip and see if they request further documents.

thank you! I provided the first page of my bank statement with minimum current balance 10k, my portfolio, a picture of myself in the last 6 months, self assessment tax return, a cover letter addressed to the Thai embassy, picture of passport, a document indicating my current location. Overall it was super easy and quick. They needed further documents, I submitted it and got approved the next day

Normally a Non-B visa is only issued for 3 months then you apply for a 12 months extension inside Thailand based on your work

Multiple Entry tourist visas are rarely granted even though it’s possible to apply for them. Since you prepay with the application the enhanced fee is usually lost. Plenty of reports here where people applied successfully in the UK.

What is/was the length of your Non B? If only 3 months, I believe they then only give single entry.

it was in April and my work permit is till November . The reason for refusing multiple entry was not explained but I read differences between aplications for single and multiple and I believe single entry is for employment inside Thailand when multiple can be obtained for “business trips to Thailand”

Length meaning 3 months vs 12 months, not “it was in April” did you have a work permit when you applied? So you have a job in Thailand, but now want a DTV?
