Can I open a bank account in Thailand on a DTV (Digital Tourist Visa)?

Bangkok Bank was the only big one that allowed it previously, but recently they’ve started freezing/closing accounts that don’t have a work permit attached to it.

Best thing to do is use your current bank and link it to something like the Moreta Pay app for scan pay.

Just depends how long you stay here per visit. After a 60 day and 30 day extension visa, they start to pay a bit more attention to you. I was stuck at Suvarnabhumi Immigration for an hour yesterday getting things sorted. General rule to follow is that you need to be outside of Thailand more days that you’re inside Thailand.
