Some people say to have an onward travel ticket allowed from your initial visa, let’s assume 60 days. Some people also (myself included) book for 90 days because the 30 day extension is pretty straightforward.
Your best bet is to book your flight for the dates that you want and buy a secondary ticket for onward travel, I bought a cheap ticket to KL for proof of onward.
I came in Nov, my return flight is April. I bought a one way ticket in February to KL that I likely won’t use.
some people clearly do, but by no means “vast majority”.
Vietnam is the only relevant example and even then they are much less reliant on tourism then Thailand, the last precovid year they had 40% of the international travelers Thailand did.
Sounds like you’ve been unaware or out to lunch for 90% of the last 2 years with what’s been going on here and for some reason feel the need to share your opinion 🤷♂️
I don’t see how you can claim you know what you’re talking about when you said “Thailand wasted it’s first year of fight against Covid not ordering vaccines” when there were no vaccines to order
Thailand didn’t start to take it seriously until April this year when there outbreak started, and were very slow and small quantities they could get when the Chinese started offloading there vaccines here.
can be hopeful for the use “suspension” and not saying “cancelled”, it’s still early and there appears to be some confusion in the details and translations.
Maybe this is just a pause until they have the formal meeting but I wouldn’t be counting on coming in without 7 days in quarantine at this point. Best of luck to anyone trying to get in
