I appreciat the info shared in this group so much. I always feel obligated to report the outcome. I made it to Laos with no problems flying out of Don Meung (US Passport). As usual the visa was issued without any hassle. I especially appreciated the "fast lane" that they have established for those that were not with a service. Flying back was no issue. I was never asked for proof of funds, onward ticket, questioned about musltiple tourist visas or anything else. The immigration officer actually said nothing, merely gave me my stamp and sent me on. Thanks for sharing your info and experiences here folks.
