Intermediates can enjoy swells occasionallyreaching a maximum height of 5-6ft, with fun left and rights breaking along the entire 3km stretch of Ao Yai beach.

KOH Phayam in November, because it's rainy season on Samui and the Dry Season has already started there; plus no cars, only motorbikes and the occasional tractor, plus one of only two permanent surf breaks in Thailand, so surfing all year round.
