No where in any of my posts did I tell you to stop speaking. I requested kindly of everyone that they share helpful facts (i.e. links, websites, personal experience) instead of personal opinions regarding the matter.
Again, I am not a moderator or an administrator of this page — (I am so thankful for them — That would be a stressful role and one that I would not want to take on😅)
I simply made an ask; and I am not forcing anyone (especially grown men) to listen to me.
It seems most on this FB Page would rather be argumentative for entertainment purposes, than actually offer productive advice.
Happy to hear it! Now let's all rewind and finally help Bo get his initial question answered -- Anyone have experience with declaring goods from the USA?
I appreciate your genuine concern for my well-being, truly. I would also like to apologize for offending you. I shouldn't have asked for you (or anyone else) to withhold your unhelpful comments.
I have READ all comments thoroughly. The information you shared was indeed helpful. Thank you! It is not so much the information in which was shared that I have a problem with. Websites and links with legal information is super helpful! Moreso, I disagree with the attitude, sarcasm, & presuppositions that were made in regard to Bo’s question. Also, asking for wisdom & advice is a huge part of “doing homework”.
Please don’t comment until you know the full situation. If you are interested in knowing more information to actually help Bo Hess answer his question, just ask. He obviously wants to abide in the law — Thus posting on this platform. So if you don’t have anything helpful to say, don’t say it at all. He is reaching out to this group for facts, not opinions.
Hi Justin — Although our circumstances are different (I am currently on a University ED Visa studying the Thai Language) I experienced a similar situation about a month ago. My USA passport had water damage and I came into Thailand only with my new USA passport (no stamps). I was back home in the USA when mine was damaged and the government was unfortunately unable to return my damaged passport. **Technically from what I understood when talking to the officer it is required you to transfer old stamps in Thailand before traveling/coming back in through an airport. However, I did have photos of all of my old passport stamps & also was able to explain the situation in Thai.
They were able to give me a temporary stamp at the airport & transfer my old ED Visa stamp at immigration the next day!
So if you are able to keep your old passport and explain the situation, you’ll maybe be okay!
