Forget any negative comments about starting a business as a foreigner in Thailand.

You can start a Limited company and a good lawyer will walk you through the process and obtain a work permit.

It is true you need to employ 5 Thai people as shareholders but your lawyer will be nominated as 1 shareholder if you wish.

You will own 49% ( which will make you the biggest shareholder) and it's upto you how much you allocate your wife shares. You will need to show 2 million baht as an investment transfer from

a bank account outside the Kingdom

Good lawyer and go for it...forget the ridiculous comments about deportation..that's bar stool negativity.

...In general most people don't think the cost is worth the return especially for new members...I have a lot friends who say right now there is no justification spending all that money without guarantees.
