I will try and do it and take the family with me, necessary documents, explain cannot leave due to borders being closed. When you arrived at CW, Did you ask you want extension for visiting family or if can get a non-0 ?

Can I get another 30 day extension first without the letter from uk embassy, explain that wish to go onto a non-0 visa as cannot do a border run do get this visa. I do not have the 400,000 in my bank account. I am currently on my 30 day extension from my visa exempt stamp.

Thanks for the reply, yes, married to a Thai national and have children. Will immigration be able to extend my stay as cannot cross the border to get the non-0 visa. I not too sure the embassy might give a letter or not in my case, as their are flights out of Thailand.
