Hello, when applying for a temporary teaching licence to work for a school, can anyone share any light, if there is now a requirement to have your degree transcipt, as well as the original certificate ? as for me, I don't have the transcript only my original degree, my university can;t provide transcripts as it was pre 1995.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a temporary teaching license in Thailand, it appears that you are required to submit both your original degree certificate and a degree transcript. Some users have confirmed that they needed both documents. However, experiences may vary depending on the office or region you are applying to, as the interpretation of requirements can differ across various government bodies. In cases where transcripts cannot be provided, individuals have suggested contacting the university for assistance.

Maybe you could prod them a little bit more for your transcript. I just recently got mine from graduating 1980 because I was applying to university in Korea.

Haven't needed mine since coming here, nor did I need them in China. Mine were destroyed in a fire in 2008 and getting replacements proved a problem because the records from when I graduated were not computerised and we're damaged due to flooding in the University archive, took me 18 months of checking just to get my diploma replaced! I think, like many government run things in Thailand, it comes down to where you are applying. Much like immigration these government bodies place their own interpretation on the rules and chop and change them to suit themselves.

Richard Swire maybe different to my experience back in early 2000s. I'm sure I remember not needing both in a private school in Bangkok, but did need them where I ended up in Pattaya... 🤷🏽‍♀️

Had to get them posted over too which was a worry. Depends on how strict the school is though to support your application. I'd check with an agency if I were you 👍🏽
