Thanks for the update.

It's the right door for this? What I understand, the left door is only for reporting the address.

I noticed when I made my TM30 in Prachin Buri that it is nice people working there.

They even answered on email before I arrived.

Next step for me, is exactly what you did now.

So far I made borderbounce at Aran Poi Pet. Not a nice experience.

What documents did they require?

Marriagelicens, House book, passport, bank as you mentioned.

Handwritten map?

@Tony ********
if you have the economics in place you actually only need a single entry Non O. Travel down to Thailand apply for the extension of stay when you have about 30 days left of your stay.

If the application is approved you will have new stamps in your passport with the permission to stay. This is when you can buy the reentry,

If you plan to make a borderbounce before you apply, ie if you want to stay more than 90 days before applying, you need the multiple.

Depends on how you plan this.

Correct. After you are married you need two to three years of extension of stay based on marriage. A new VISA other then the initial Non O is not needed as long as do not accidental cancel it with travels outside Thailand and not bought a reentry permit. To the extension of stay you can buy a multiple reentry.

For the extension you need to deposit 400k bath in a Thai bank account two month before apply for the extension of stay the first time and three months for renew the following years.

ok, I understand that, but was not what they explained to me. Maybe because of the language barrier.

I also visited the municipalitioffice here to have the procedure for the registration confirmed. They confirmed this and based of their knowledge confirmed this as the requirement for the extension of the stay, they said they had several such cases.

But, they also promised me the yellow houseregistration and a ID-card.

Other than that they was very kind and welcoming.

Robert Lagas interesting, that is what they currently force me to do. That's Pracin Buri, so another example of different rules in each district.

For the VISA on the embassy it was enough with my countrys registration. But not on the immigrationoffice here.

To have it registered I am forced to have a signed and stamped proof from my embassy. This together with the original certificate needs translation and legalisation at Thai foreign ministry and than handed over to the municipality office. Then I am allowed to have the extension of the stay.

I was in Bangkok last Tuesday to initiate the processing of this.

Residence is something you cannot have, not easily anyway.

Your option is the same as I have, Non O Multiple entry's.

Valid for a year and give you 90 day stay each borderpassage.

If you plan to stay in Thailand you can also in Thailand apply for a one year extension of your stay permit you get when arriving. After that you only need to do 90days report to the immigrationoffice in your district.

With the extension of stay you can buy multiple reentry if you need to travel.

There is a requirement for the extension, 400 000 bath in a Thai bank account for at least two month the first time.

With the extension you never need to apply for a VISA again. That's close to residency.
