I’m married to a Thai woman. We live together outside Thailand but spend 3-4 months per year in Thailand. I have always entered in 30 day exemptions or a tourist visa. Is it possible to get a multiple entry residence visa on the basis of marriage? If so what do I need to do?
Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are married to a Thai woman and spending a significant amount of time in Thailand, you can apply for a Multiple Entry Non-Immigrant O Visa based on your marriage. This type of visa allows for 90-day stays each time you enter Thailand and can be extended with a subsequent application. However, to extend your stay in Thailand beyond that, you must meet specific financial criteria, including maintaining a balance of 400,000 Baht in a Thai bank account for at least two months. This visa provides a path towards longer stays and can be a reliable alternative to tourist visas.
