that totally depends where you are starting from. In your local area, there will absolutely be agencies with excellent reputations. And agencies won’t take you if they can’t guarantee you can come back.
For an agent, you can just ask the owners of this page
what have you seen ‘shifting frequently’? ALL nations make changes to their immigration plan annually. It’s a fast changing world.
The price of Thai visas has astoundingly remained the same for many years. The criteria also. Of course it evolves, but the basics haven’t changed in decades. LTR and DTV are quite new. Seriously positive changes. At insanely low cost.
And there are well known ‘work arounds’. Border bounce agencies, agents to facilitate visa. Fast track airport arrival. Some border points are well known to be strict, others are well known for being soft. You just have to gently read and learn here. And talk to people with similar circumstances
for the exact reason I just explained. The internet. And newbies to Thailand with no idea how it works. Always been the same. And the reason many join sites like this is because they fucked up or don’t understand how the visa system works here.
Thailand gets about 40 million tourists a year. If you see 10 million similar posts, they are cracking down. If you see 15… go back to bed and don’t soil yourself
I do pretty much agree with Jordan here. There is no ‘playing the system’. Its simply people using the system available to them.
If you do want to avoid being pulled, it’s pretty easy to use border bounce services or Fast Track arrival at airports. If you are entering with some dodgy history, have the 3 proofs available and you will be fine. Proof on onward travel is generally what they want to see. They might give a warning, but won’t deny entry
