Mine expired because I couldn't get back in time so I had to get a new non-o in my home country. When I made a new year extension in Udon Thani they did it in 20 minutes.

BTW I never heard of anyone extend the visa same day come here, this is something you do near the end of your first 30 days.

this is just silly! He dont have to report at all, and when he want to extend for another 30 days he can do at any Immigration office near where he is at that time. Just need to stay at a hotel or whatever that day there.

I live in Udon myself, probably the most easy Immigration office in thailand.
