You can chose either the seasoning method *OR* either the income method or embassy letter method, depending on your nationality.

For the 800K THB seasoned, it must be in a Thai bank for two calendar months. IF you do not have the 800K THB in a Thai bank seasoned for two months, you can use ONE of the following options:

For the income method (65K THB), it needs to be 12 months of 65K THB transfers marked overseas.

Some nationalities can get a letter from their embassy saying they make 65K THB (or more) each month. If your embassy issues that letter, you can not use the income method. I know the USA and UK does *NOT* issue these letters.

I hope that answers the question.

You are changing the extension of stay, and it should be possible.

1. You will need a letter from your daughter's school saying she is no longer a student, and to cancel your existing extension of stay.

2. AT THE SAME DAY, you will apply for a new one year extension of stay based on retirement. You will need to meet the requirements for the extension of stay.

You may need the following documents for a one year extension of stay based on retirement:

1. The applicant’s passport and a copy of:

a. The data “picture” page.

b. The most recent visa (if applicable).

c. All entry stamps or extension of stay (if applicable) since arrival .

d. The departure card (“TM 6”) that should be stapled in the passport.

2. The extension of stay application form (“TM 7”).

3. A copy of the submitted Notification of Residence of Foreigners form ("TM 30”).

4. To meet the financial requirements of either:

- 800,000 THB in a Thai bank account seasoned for 2 months along with a letter from the bank. If renewing the one year extension of stay, the 800,000 THB must be seasoned for two months before applying and three months after the last extension of stay was granted, and for the money not to have been lower then 400,000 THB throughout the calendar year, Or;

- 65,000 THB a month in income to a Thai bank transferred from overseas, Or;

- A letter from the embassy stating the applicant receives 65,000 THB a month in income from overseas.

5. A hand drawn map to the applicant’s residence. Some immigration offices may want this map on a special paper.

There is no under consideration stamp issued for this extension of stay.

6. 2x passport sized (4cm by 6cm) photos.

7. 1,900 THB processing fee.

However, different immigration offices may have slightly different requirements; ask your local immigration office for more details.

@Bernard ****
For the extension of stay, health insurance isn't required. For the Thai Pass, it is.
Benjamin ******
@Bernard ****
The insurance would be the length of time remaining on your "admitted to" stmap
Benjamin ******
@Bernard ****
You must get it for the length of your stay. If you are currently in Thailand, you do not need the insurance.

>If I enter thailand as a tourist without a visa I will get a visa exemption, right?

Depends on your nationality. SOME people get 15 day visa on arrivals. MOST people get 30 day visa exempt. SOME people get
*****
/90 day bilateral agreements, and others require a visa before entering. See attached.

IF you are from a visa exempt country, you can get ONE 30 day extension of stay based on tourism. In theory, you should be able to get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, IF you apply under the current program AND it's still being sold AND the immigration officer agrees to sell it to you.

I'm not sure what's being asked. If you're asking about getting a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism, you can get that at your local immigration office.

If you are asking about getting a 60 day single entry tourist visa, those can only be acquired outside of Thailand.
